Piscean Girls Will Surprise You

Maybe I should try writing in this thing more often. Looking at my last entry depresses me.

So in my poetry writing class, we did a fun writing exercise. You can try this with your friends too! (Poetry skills not required). Get a slip of paper. Have the first person start a statement with "If [insert sentence here]." Then fold the paper so that the next person can't see what the first person wrote. The next person will start a sentence with, "Then..." Fold over that sentence. Start another sentence with "If..." You can go on as long as you want, or until you run out of space to fold.

My group consisted of five people. I'm the fifth verse. The person before me (fourth line), is a nice Pisces who tends to surprise me with a caustic wit and sarcasm in her poetry.

So without further ado... I guess I would rate this poem about R for the sexual humor.

Delilah and Hannah have inspired me to offer stuff for the [info]livelongnmarry auction! (since I can't pay ;_;)

I've got an offer already for $10 on an original fic (though I'm offering fanfic, too, but if the person doesn't get out-bid, I'm writing the original one.)

And I just put up an offer for a Tarot reading.

Let's dooooooo this thing! >=D

Old Short Story - Sepulchral Wedding

No stealing~ Already had this published in my high school literary magazine in '06. =3 A poem and short story by yours truly.

Enjoy!

“Sepulchral Wedding”
Inside a cathedral of gothic elegance,
The music of pipe organs induces a trance.
The rough, obsidian stones reminisce of the graves
Beyond the church’s shadow as light begins to fade.
Open wide the doors for the bride has arrived;
With her pale, ivory face, she seems barely alive.
At the altar the groom smiles possessively,
His gentleman’s demeanor hiding great animosity.
With a doomed grace, she walks down the aisle,
The bridal song playing softly all the while.
The guests are all crying as the groom lifts her veil;
She’s having trouble breathing for the air is too stale.
Silence descends as the priest begins the invocation;
To the bride’s ears, it echoes condemnation.
She is trapped as the golden snare slides on her finger;
In her soul, the words “until death do you part” will linger.
The sepulchral wedding ends with the toll of broken bells,
And with a single kiss, the beginning of hell.

Love Is My Religion

I've had problems with religion for many a year. This God will strike you with a lightning bolt, that God will screw you over (quite literally), this God will curse your children's children's children, that God will forgive you everything except suicide, sodomy, murder, and homosexuality. I have problems with the generic "God-In-A-Box", the God that fits only one doctrine of beliefs. He commands all of these of us, and forbids all the rest from us, because happiness is only given to the Faithful (who have sticks firmly up their asses).

And what do we humans get in return from the alleged Divine? Plague, disease, mental disorders, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, wars, ping pong balls, and slavery.

They'll say of me, "Oh, you poor nonbeliever blaming everything bad on God." Oh, yeah? Then why can't more good things be credited to humans? Humans are created in God's Image, aren't we?

My religion, I've decided, is Love.

“I have been astonished that men could die martyrs for their religion - / I have shudder'd at it. / I shudder no more. / I could be martyr'd for my religion; / Love is my religion. / And I could die for that. / I could die for you.” - John Keats

I dig that quote.

MY FIRST SEMESTER OF COLLEGE IS ALMOST OVER!!!!!!!

Oh happy day!!! And I've learnt a new song for the guitar as well. I can play and sing at the same time.

That just made a load of sense.

Who wants to go skinny-dipping?

"The Black Dahlia" was the most disturbing movie mystery I've ever seen and sadly, it lost its potential as a great movie. Violent, dark, and dirty. Pointless death being thrown into my face, how grand. They kept true to the 1940s, though, that impressed me. But all that violence and sex turned me off big time. Oh well, gotta try something once. I wish that the preview hadn't been so misleading, though.

This is not usually my favorite journal style, but I'd thought that I'd give it a try.

I'm more commonly known as "Sakura Murasaki" on the web. Really, if you google that name, it'll come up! I'm everywhere, man. It's crazy.

Hope to write more later. ^_^ Experimenting is in order...
